Greetings! I am so happy to be performing this concert in the town where I grew up!
The primary music for this concert is from a composition project I have done this year called 52 Ideas. The project is to write something new and record it every week. These "ideas" are published on my blog and on SoundCloud. Well, it's time to share these ideas in a more complete form. Most of this music has only been performed for the first time in the past month. This is virtually an entire evening of brand new music! I'll be performing diverse music for voice, piano, and electronic media, including live looping effects (see audio and video on this page). The performances will also include a collaboration with visual artist Thérèse Murdza in conjunction with my "Piano Suite #1." This is a unique opportunity to "see the music" and "hear the art." Lastly, I'll be singing selections from my 2008 CD "Devotion", which will be for sale at the concerts. There will also be a reception to follow, so be sure to stick around and say hello.
