Here’s what’s up for me right now:

• I start rehearsals Wednesday for “The Daughter of the Regiment” with Houston Grand Opera’s “Opera to Go!” I’m excited to return to sing with this group.  Still making sure I have my part learned!
• Abby and I are approaching 2 months of being married!  It practically seems like yesterday that we were saying our vows!  We love our new apartment and feel really settled together.  We laugh at ourselves because so often we just don’t want to go anywhere - we love just being home together.
• I have already started rehearsals for upcoming performances at the Houston Ballet.  I’m singing with a small group of male singers for the Martinu “Soldier’s Mass.”  It’s a really beautiful piece in Czech and I can’t wait to see what kind of dancing we will be supporting.
• My friend Aaron died last week.  He was a friend from Love Machine and died tragically in an incident with the police.  I have been mourning his loss deeply in solidarity with his parents Pam and Steve. His funeral will be this Thursday.
• I’m trying to make a plan to overhaul my nutrition and exercise patterns.  It’s feeling like time to make some changes!
• I’ve been connecting with Nathaniel a lot lately and hearing about some significant changes happening in his family.  I’m following his blog closely.
