I’m leaving tomorrow morning to drive to New Orleans for the rest of the week and weekend. Opera Vista is presenting Amy Beach’s opera “Cabildo.”  The Cabildo is a real place in New Orleans and this opera is about, so it is fitting that we get to perform the opera in the real-life setting where the opera was intended!  This is a first for The Cabildo and the opera itself is not performed very often.  I’m playing the role of Dominique, who is a pirate.  Arrrgh!
